Bandcamp is a very artist-friendly service and you can find most of our stuff there.
The last two days I have been working to remove the e-shop platform and all the code I had installed in this website. (Oh how easy it is to delete months of work…)
This was one of my major new decisions regarding my plan to focus more on actual music-making and less on accounting and web-design.
There in another major decision I have to make towards this plan, but I need a little more time to process it…
This song was one of most complicated music productions I have ever done and we have worked on it for more than a year.
If you prefer streaming instead of downloading your favourite music and would still like to support us, then maybe consider donating or maybe buying me a coffee?
It’s been a long time since our last spacecast. But now I am back with new music.
First of all, yes we have been working on a new Dol Ammad album, the Cosmic Gods Episode 2, but I need you to be a little bit more patient as I will reveal more about this on our next spacecast.
For now I have a very special surprise to reveal.
Dol Ammad will release a cover of the Star Wars epic “Duel of the Fates”.
It has been a dream of mine for so long, “Duel of the Fates” was in fact one of my main inspirations and reasons to form Dol Ammad back in the early 2000’s.
We have been working for more than a year on this. It has become an obsession of mine. It has been a major challenge and one of the most complex music productions I have ever done.
The masterpiece of John Williams was treated with love and respect and we have created a cover displaying our unique Dol Ammad style fused with epic sound design worthy of the Star Wars universe.
So stay tuned with our website at lightbridge.tv and on our youtube channel to check out the cover coming up the following days.
I hope you enjoy it and I’ll see you on our next spacecast where we’ll finally talk about the full new Dol Ammad album.
The lovely mid-high frequencies of the Altos filled the Lightbridge studio recently and Batman was mesmerised.
Joining the fresh new additions of Electra Kontoglou and Elisabeth Chatzivasileiou was our trusty Kortessa. The team gave an excellent performance and I would like to thank them all for their work!
The new material is progressing rapidly and we are on schedule. One more voice team left to go.
Gibson recently acquired Cakewalk and just announced that they are pulling the plug.
Cakewalk software was my first experience in sequencing and music production and for the last 30 years they have been innovating with what I felt was the best DAW in the Windows platform. The company was working on a Mac version which I was waiting for years. 🙁
Check out what MIDI Sequencing looked and sounded like back in the DOS era:
And what Sonar’s last iteration looked like:
I have used Cakewalk Pro Audio and Sonar on all early Dol Ammad and Dol Theeta albums like “Star Tales”, “Ocean Dynamics” and “The Universe Expands”.
I am so sad that we will not see a further development of the platform. I wish all the best to the people who were involved in Cakewalk and who are affected by this. Thank you for your great product over the years.
We had an awesome time recording the Basses for the new Dol Ammad material. Joining the powerful team of Greg Pyrialas and Thanassis Pavlou is the great newcomer Alexandros Delialis.
I am honored to have such great musicians in our new space music adventures. Thank you.
J. Demian, the guit-artist formerly known as Dim, has arrived in the Lightbridge studio to lay some dirt on my brand new squeaky-clean music.
This madman is responsible for the guitars in Dol Theeta and most Dol Ammad releases among tons of other projects and bands like Wardrum, Hail Spirit Noir and Blackdrawn.
Apart from an amazing musician he is an excellent guitar repairer, bassist and a friend. It was an honour to work with him once again.
The cogs are finally turning my friends. After a long slumber, we have started recording and producing new music.
The sopranos arrived in the studio for a top-secret Dol Ammad mission we have been working for some time. Remember this?
It was an honour and great pleasure to work with Anila, Christina and Kortessa for this.
This is for a very exciting new endeavour that will take place in parallel with the production and release of the “Cosmic Gods : Episode II”. If you remember the choirs for Episode II have already been recorded. There was another book after all.
I have driven Kortessa mad with all these delays and secrecy…Just release it, she screams.
